Class 6 – Discovering Myself & the World of Careers
The future of work is changing rapidly, and many careers today’s children will pursue may not even exist yet. This makes early career awareness more important than ever.
The TopTeen Career Awareness Curriculum for Class 6 is a carefully designed, age-appropriate program that introduces students to the world of careers while helping them understand themselves better.
At this stage, the goal is not career selection—it is about building awareness, curiosity, confidence, and self-discovery.
Through an engaging blend of activities, worksheets, discussions, and projects, students explore key questions such as:
Who am I?
What are my interests and strengths?
How am I uniquely smart?
What careers exist in the world around me?
What kind of future can I imagine for myself?
The curriculum is structured into 3 powerful learning units:
Unit 1: Self Discovery & Career Awareness
Students explore their interests, strengths, talents, and multiple intelligences while building a foundational understanding of careers.
Unit 2: TopTeen Career Clusters
Students discover 11 major career clusters and explore 100+ careers across traditional, modern, and emerging industries.
Unit 3: Career Exploration Projects
Students apply their learning through exciting projects such as career scrapbooks, future career design, presentations, and vision boards.
